The Hill Express

This tour takes in all the highlights of Darjeeling and Sikkim. With its tea plantations, cool climate and English colonial bungalows; Darjeeling is the typical hill station. Sikkim, still regarded as the last Himalayan Shangri-la because of its remoteness, its spectacular mountain terrain and ancient Buddhist culture.

Trip Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu- Gangtok (D)
Fly from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur (1 hr). Upon arrival transfer to Gangtok. Check in at your hotel.

Day 02: Gangtok (B, L, D)
After breakfast, visit to Rumtek Monastery and Institute of Tibetology. After lunch visit to Enchey Monastery, flower show, handicraft.

Day 03: Gangtok - Pemayangtse (B, L, D)
After breakfast, drive to Pemayangtse. Check in at your hotel.

Day 04: Pemayangtse – Shangacholing (B, L, D)
Visit Pemayangtse Monastery. After lunch walk for about 45 minutes to Sanga Choeling Monastery.

Day 05: Sanga Choeling - Kathmandu (B)
After breakfast, drive to Bhadrapur airport to connect the flight to Kathmandu.
